Conference Lay Leaders
Meet your Conference lay leaders.
Annual Conference Lay Leader
Donna TeBrink
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together,….but let us encourage one another.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
I hope that through conversations, interactions, and service, we will “spur one another on” and “encourage one another” as we trust God enough to embrace a new future for the church. We live with a promise that God guides us toward the future even when we don’t know exactly what it will look like. I pray that we see God every day in places, faces, and interactions. And that we realize the power of the Holy Spirit living in us – living lives showing people a love like no other love they have ever known. Jesus’ love a love outside the lines.
Albuquerque District Lay Leader
Chris Caldes
Serving as Albuquerque District Lay Leader has enabled me to take advantage of new opportunities to serve the Lord by broadening my understanding of our Annual Conference and placing me in positions to help in making decision affecting our Annual Conference and our mission.
Clovis District lay Leader
Carol Bignell
What an opportunity to serve the Clovis District. I never would have dreamed how much fun and how rewarding it is to be the Clovis District Lay Leader. I enjoy meeting both pastors and lay leaders all around the district plus serving on committees that enlarge my knowledge of what the Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church is involved in. Thank you for being willing to share your life in Christ with me.
El Paso District Lay Leader
Tom Thomas
I am honored to be serving as District Lay Leader for the El Paso District. Working with Steve McElroy, District Superintendent, is a pleasure and very educational. I really enjoy visiting the churches and hearing their joys and concerns. Hopefully, I will be able to help improve communications between our churches and help them cope with some of the problems that exist. We have wonderful people in our churches and I look forward to working with all of them to glorify God.
