UPCOMING DEADLINES FOR END-OF-YEAR
The deadline to submit vouchers for expenses charged to the Annual Conference’s 2011 budget is 4:00 on December 30.
The last date to receive Shared Ministry monies for 2011 is January 6, 2012 (this date is always the Friday following the first Sunday of the month). Please note that monies must be received in the Conference office by 4:00 on that date, not just postmarked on that date.
End-of-year church statistics must be completed and submitted by January 25, 2012.

TO: All Pastors and Laity involved in NM Conference Ministries
RE: Reimbursement Voucher Procedures
The Conference Office is requesting a change to your submission of vouchers to the conference Treasurer for reimbursement. We request that, beginning January 1, 2011, all voucher requests be accompanied by a receipt for each listed item, including meals. The previous conference rule of meal expenses below $24/day + tips requiring no receipts is what we are asking now to amend.
This change will bring us into alignment with procedures used by the Council of Bishops and the business world at large. It will also help to reduce unwarranted claims that are growing in number due to taking advantage of a voucher ‘loop-hole.’
The goal is not more paperwork nor onerous rules, but solid and consistent stewardship of faithful contributions by our members. Especially in these tight economic times, it is crucial to keep tight management of expenses.

The many ministries of our conference help create disciples of Jesus Christ and impact thousands of lives annually. May God richly bless you as you continue to bless others.
