Volunteer Host Opportunities at Sacramento Methodist Assembly:
Want to be a part of a growing ministry opportunity that supports the mission and service of a wonderful Church based non-profit organization? Do you enjoy meeting people from all over the country?
2011 Volunteer SMA Registration
Sacramento Methodist Assembly is a Camp and Conference Center that is looking for volunteer staff who want to serve others in a relaxed environment while staying overnight in a beautiful mountain setting situated at 7,500 ft elevation in the Sacramento Mountains of Southern New Mexico. Volunteer hosts greet guests, answer questions and telephones, offer assistance in the snack and gift shop, offer information about our ministry, assist with meals in the dining facility, assist in housekeeping and have opportunity for relaxation and hiking, reading and conversation. There are opportunities to share special skills if you want to work with other volunteers on projects, lead interpretive hikes in the forest, assist in our adventure programming, and more.
We are looking for short term and/or long term volunteer hosts. Some hosts volunteer for one week/weekend per year, others volunteer multiple times per year or for several weeks at a time. There is an application (see below) and interview process for this ministry opportunity. We want to match your gifts with our needs. RV sites with full hookups are available. Small cabin units are also available on a limited basis.
Contact Director Bill McCuaig if you are interested in this ministry,

ALSO: We need “Sacramento Advocates .” The dictionary defines advocate as one who “speaks in favor of; recommends; argues for a cause; defends; pleads on another’s behalf; or acts as an intercessor." Sacramento needs advocates! For example, here is the
2011 Shareholder call Sacramento to let you see what projects we urgently need help with!
We are asking for churches to promote this project within each congregation and send in their completed Advocates information form. Upon receiving this completed form SMA will then be able to include these Advocates into our database for prayer needs, e-news, and hard mail on items concerning this valuable camp and retreat ministry. Please covenant with us in this endeavor.
