Sacramento has launched a new website with all updated and current information.  The website is always “under construction” as we will be adding online camper registration capabilities, online donation capabilities, as well as additional camping info, pictures, etc. when they become available.

Sacramento now has the capability of accepting donations online!  You can visit the website  www.sacramentoassembly.org  and click on “Opportunities”, then “Donate Now”, or just click on the link below.  The site is secure, and you have the capability of designating your donation to various funds/campaigns.  Currently, Sacramento is actively promoting fundraising for Spring Shareholders, Summer Camp Scholarships, and Debt Retirement.  Give it a try and see how easy it is to donate to your FAVORITE camp and conference center!!!

Mid Year Get-Away , ROC, and CCYM registration forms are now available on the “Other Camps and Retreats” page, or just click “What’s New” on the homepage.

Sacramento offers many opportunities for everyone in 2013!  Our Conference Camp and Retreat Schedule is now available, as well as our camper and adult volunteer registration forms.

Sacramento is THE camp and retreat center for the NM Conference and is one of God's tools for reaching His children, so...send kids to camp this summer and make an impact in the lives of your children and youth!

Adult volunteers are vital to the success of each camp.  Please prayerfully consider attending camp as a volunteer--your life willl be blessed beyond measure.

Visit our Sacramento website www.sacramentoassembly.org and look under our Camps & Retreats tab to find all additional information and forms, as well as a  camp promo video.

Our Camp Deans are busy developing their individual camp brochures, so keep checking the website, as these will be available soon.  Be sure to call Sacramento if you have any questions – 800.667.3414 – or email –

Sacramento is looking forward to another great summer of camping and is praying that each camper is blessed abundantly “Up on the Mountain”!

Volunteer Host Opportunities at Sacramento Methodist Assembly:
Want to be a part of a growing ministry opportunity that supports the mission and service of a wonderful Church based non-profit organization? Do you enjoy meeting people from all over the country?

Sacramento Methodist Assembly is a Camp and Conference Center that is looking for volunteer staff who want to serve others in a relaxed environment while staying overnight in a beautiful mountain setting situated at 7,500 ft elevation in the Sacramento Mountains of Southern New Mexico. Volunteer hosts greet guests, answer questions and telephones, offer assistance in the snack and gift shop, offer information about our ministry, assist with meals in the dining facility, assist in housekeeping and have opportunity for relaxation and hiking, reading and conversation. There are opportunities to share special skills if you want to work with other volunteers on projects, lead interpretive hikes in the forest, assist in our adventure programming, and more.

We are looking for short term and/or long term volunteer hosts. Some hosts volunteer for one week/weekend per year, others volunteer multiple times per year or for several weeks at a time. There is an application (see below) and interview process for this ministry opportunity. We want to match your gifts with our needs. RV sites with full hookups are available. Small cabin units are also available on a limited basis.

Contact Director Bill McCuaig if you are interested in this ministry,

ALSO:  We need “Sacramento Advocates .” The dictionary defines advocate as one who “speaks in favor of; recommends; argues for a cause; defends; pleads on another’s behalf; or acts as an intercessor."  Sacramento needs advocates!  For example, here is the icon 2011 Shareholder call Sacramento to let you see what projects we urgently need help with!

We are asking for churches to promote this project within each congregation and send in their completed Advocates information form. Upon receiving this completed form SMA will then be able to include these Advocates  into our database for prayer needs, e-news, and hard mail on items concerning this valuable camp and retreat ministry. Please covenant with us in this endeavor.

CHALLENGE COURSE NOW OPEN!

The "Eagle Challenge Course" is up and running.  This Course (completed phases 1 & 2) has already been used by several groups and camps and is quickly becoming a very popular addition to our Sacramento Adventure Programming.  Join the support team now to help us with phase #3:  this phase will include a very important Restroom addition, covered shelter, and additional initiatives and elements.  Your inspirational gifts will help drive us towards completion of this 3rd phase.  Book your event with us now!  This new Challenge Course addition would be wonderful to use for Church Leadership Development, Youth Group Retreats, Family Reunions, Sunday School Fun, etc.
