What if church were a verb?
Powered by the Holy Spirit, 'Rethink Church' serves as a catalyst that moves the denomination, and those we hope to reach, into dialogue -- and ultimately, into transformative, collaborative action. What if church were a verb? What would it look like? The New Mexico Conference encourages churches to Rethink Church.
For information and resources, go to www.rethinkchurch.org. Also, find out how you may receive funding and assistance with a Rethink Church event through Impact Community.
Share stories of how your church has participated in Rethink Church. Send stories to . Stories will be published in the New Mexico Conference Shared Voices, an edition of the United Methodist Reporter.
How well does your community know your congregation?
What do people remember about your church? Are you the church with the food bank, the community garden or the pumpkin patch? Are you the one with the parish nurse or the global missions program? In many ways – great and small – God is made visible whenever Christians show love in tangible ways. Rethink Church can shine a light on God’s work in your community.
Here’s a few opportunities for your congregation’s involvement in 2012.
