UMR Communications, including Reporter, to close

The last issue of the United Methodist Reporter will be June 7. The national publication and its parent company, UMR Communications, will close effective May 31. New Mexico leaders will discuss the future of the NMAC publication Shared Voices and notify churches and subscribers of resulting changes.

Prep begins for Rio Grande churches

As the Southwest Texas and Rio Grande Conferences prepare to merge, meetings detailing the process have been scheduled in various locations to provide information and discuss the process. Churches of the Rio Grande Conference have the opportunity to be part of the new joint conference or become part of the conference in which they are located.

In order to keep members of the New Mexico Conferences informed, we are asking the various conference ministries, boards and agencies and local churches to submit meeting reports, ministry stories, events, etc. for inclusion in the conference newspapers, Web sites and e-mail news reports.
