The General Board of Church and Society is dedicated to the work of living faith, seeking justice, and pursuing peace.

The board is called to seek the implementation of the Social Principles and other policy statements of the General Conference on Christian social concerns.

A Conference Board of Church & Society Creation Care Subcommittee was formed to address awareness & advocacy at the Conference, church and community levels.

NMAC United Women in Faith members are actively working on Creation Care & Green Team initiatives.

Civil & Human Rights

One of the four discerned Conference Mission Team(CMT) missional priorities is Cultivating Justice & DiversityClick Here for more information.  Some of the areas that are being addressed by the CMT work group are: LGBTQ+ education and advocacy, immigrant rights, and better serving the multi-cultural demographics and needs of our Conference.

Another CMT missional priority is Enhancing Border Relationships. The focus has been maintaining communication and networking with other conferences and organizations who serve immigrants and refugees at the border. Much of the advocacy and concern has moved away from the border and into our cities where immigrants need to be informed of their rights.
