What do we Stand for? An Introduction to the United Methodist Social Principles

The Conference Board of Laity is sponsoring three workshops to learn more about the updated Social Principles published in the 2020/24 Book of Discipline. We are very fortunate to have Social Principles expert, Rev. Neal Christie visit our Conference to discuss how the United Methodist Social Principles have impacted how we engage with the world guided by these principles. Rev. Christie is a former Church and Society senior staff member. He was lead curator of the UMC’s engagement process around the Revised Social Principles.

Knowledge of these principles in a divided and fast-moving society is more necessary and useful than ever. If you have non-UMC friends who are interested in learning about these foundational principles, please bring them along.
