Bishop Carlo A. Rapanut announces the following re-alignment of co-provost responsibilities for our two District Superintendents who concurrently fill those roles. This was done in consultation with both with the goal of easing their workload by equitably assigning responsibilities according to their gifts and passions.

Rev. Dr. Pam Rowley will be the co-provost for administration with oversight over the administrative bodies of the conference namely: Council of Finance and Administration, Board of Pension and Health Benefits, Board of Trustees, Committee on Nominations and Commission on Equitable Compensation, Committee on Lay Servant Ministries and Board of Ordained Ministry (including Executive Committee). She will be the liaison to the Conference Treasurer and the Conference Benefits Officer.

Rev. Ross Whiteaker will be the co-provost for programming with oversight over the programmatic bodies of the conference namely: New Church Development Committee, Commission on Archives and History, Disaster Relief Committee, Four Corners/Committee on Native American Ministries, Border Ministries & Immigration, and Board of the Laity. He will have supervisory oversight over the Conference Director of Communications and the Conference Historian.

The two co-provosts will jointly relate to the Conference Ministry Team and the Annual Conference Planning Team and will jointly have supervisory oversight over the District Administrative Assistant and the Conference Ministry and Program Coordinator.

This realignment has taken effect beginning March 1st. It will be reviewed annually by the Bishop and cabinet but reserve the right to make assignment changes as necessary. Chairs of boards, commissions and committees are encouraged to reach out to the co-provost assigned to them to bring them up to speed, especially if the oversight relationship has changed.
