The Collaboration for Connection in Community Missional Priority incorporates a lot of different aspects.  It also involves communication.  The following are ways that the NM Conference is leaning into this particular priority:

  • Trinity UMC-Clovis reached out to ELCA brothers & sisters when their church faced closure.  Click Here
  • In September 2025 NM Conference will receive a $10K Solidarity Grant to help the colonias in Doña Ana County devastated by flooding.  El Calvario Community & Immigrant Advocacy Center was tasked to serve the community due to the unique nature of the the response required.  Click Here
  • NM Conference received a Solidarity Grants to assist the community of Roswell after terrible flooding occurred.  We received a $2 million from UMCOR to assist communities near Las Vegas & Mora.
  • Pastor Lisa Jo Bezner was asked to serve FUMC-Raton in the NM Conference and Trinidad UMC in the Mountain Sky Conference.  Click Here
  • Asbury Cafe has been operating for 60 years.  Several churches from around ABQ have partnered with them but now they're asking all Conference churches to help.
  • The Collaboration Work Group created a Communications Survey in 2024. To view the results, Click Here
