The purpose of the grant: “To provide matching funds for existing congregations to enhance leadership and vitality” (from Rule 2225 of the New Mexico Conference Structure, Policies and Procedures).
CRITERIA:
- Funds will be granted on a matching fund basis as per Conference Rules except as recommended by the Leadership/Vitality Review Committee.
- Participating congregations can be either chartered or faith communities of the New Mexico Conference.
- Clergy and laity of the New Mexico Conference can receive these funds provided that their project enhances their leadership competence and/or the vitality of their congregations.
- The recipient of the grant will submit a report within one month of the project's completion regarding how leadership and vitality was strenghtened.
