The Bishop and the Cabinet through the Office of Congregational Vitality has made available the On-Boarding process to congregations receiving a new pastor and to pastors receiving a new appointment.

What is the On-Boarding Process?
On-Boarding is a simple process for clergy beginning a new appointment to “jump start” their ministry and leadership in their new church. This strategic meeting happens before or after the clergy person arrives for their new appointment. We believe that churches and their new clergy who go through an On-Boarding experience will be able to radically transform feelings of anxiety and uncertainty to excitement and clarity. Some pastors say this process gave them six months advancement in relationship building and one year in valuable information.
