The NM Conference Certified Lay Minister (CLM) training is recognized by Discipleship Ministries and by the Connection for its excellence.
2025 New Mexico Annual Conference CLM Program

Interviews with NMCBOL and DCOM will start in February of 2026
**All classes will be by ZOOM.
TIMES: Fridays: 6:00 - 9:00 pm, MT
Saturdays: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, MT
TRAINING PREREQUISITES:
-Membership in a UMC church, prior to application
-Completion of application with all required documents
-CLM Applicant requirements:
--$50 Fee with application
--$50 per each training session sent prior to training weekend to the NM Conference Office. Seven sessions = total of $350.
--CLM Applicant must attend all sessions before session certificate is given. NO Makeup Session will be provided during current training.
To remain certified, CLM’s must take an advanced Lay Servant training course every 3 years and submit an annual report to their local charge conference.
