The South Central Jurisdictional Conference will meet to elect three new bishops on November 2-5, 2022 in Houston. The South Central Jurisdiction Committee on Episcopacy has decided, in consultation with the College of Bishops, to recommend that the Jurisdictional Conference elect three new bishops. Read More
Postponement of General Conference to 2024
On March 3, 2022, the Commission on General Conference announced that General Conference will be postponed until 2024 Statement. The commission stated that global vaccination issues and visa backlogs for delegates from Africa, Europe, and the Philippines as their primary reasoning for this decision. Other obstacles, such as translation challenges and limited internet capabilities in some areas, make it impossible to hold General Conference virtually.
