On Tuesday, February 25th, The Big Band returned to the NM Conference. Our special guest was Abbey Reed, Director of Neighboring at Central UMC-ABQ. Approximately 25 people joined us for the Zoom meeting. It was so good to see everyone’s faces again.

Abbey shared various ways to get involved in work to address issues of food insecurity, homelessness and many other problems facing our Conference area. She said that she’d be interested in sharing the knowledge that she’s accumulated over the years, any connections that she can possibly make, and/or offers to collaborate.

The next Big Band will be on Wednesday, March 26th at 2:00 pm MT. We’ll be meeting monthly and will switch the time and day of the week to hopefully, allow for a variety people to attend.
